Abstract

Hepatitis B in pregnant women needs to be detected early to determine infection status and prevent the risk of mother-to-child transmission. The utilization of early detection services at primary healthcare centers may be influenced by service accessibility and facility availability. This study aimed to analyze the relationship between accessibility and facility availability with the utilization of early Hepatitis B detection services among pregnant women at Lawawoi Public Health Center, Sidenreng Rappang Regency. This quantitative study used a cross-sectional design. The study population consisted of 669 pregnant women, with a sample of 87 respondents selected using simple random sampling. Data were collected from June to July 2026 using a questionnaire and analyzed using the Chi-Square test at a significance level of α=0.05. The results showed that 47 respondents (54.0%) had moderate utilization of services, 45 respondents (51.7%) had moderate accessibility, and 49 respondents (56.3%) reported that facilities were available. There was no significant relationship between accessibility and service utilization (p=0.467) or between facility availability and service utilization (p=0.094). In conclusion, accessibility and facility availability were not significantly associated with the utilization of early Hepatitis B detection services among pregnant women at Lawawoi Public Health Center.
