This study aims to develop and evaluate the effectiveness of digital media-based blended learning in enhancing students' social literacy in Sociology education. The research employs the Research and Development (R&D) method using the Borg & Gall development model, consisting of preliminary study, model design, expert validation, field testing, revision, and implementation. The study adopts a quasi-experimental design with a pretest-posttest control group, involving two groups: an experimental group (blended learning) and a control group (conventional learning). Data were collected through social literacy tests, questionnaires, observations, and interviews, analyzed using t-tests and MANOVA for quantitative data and thematic analysis for qualitative data. The results indicate that students using the blended learning model showed a significantly higher improvement in social literacy than the control group (p < 0.05), with an average score increase of 35% compared to 15% in the control group. Additionally, students in the experimental group were more engaged in exploring digital materials and technology-based discussions. This study confirms that digital media-based blended learning not only enhances student engagement but also fosters their critical and reflective thinking skills in understanding social phenomena. This model serves as an innovative solution for Sociology education in the digital era.
